Don't offer your original for sale.
 
Don't make your original available for sales. This tip is pretty straightforward. If buyers know they can't get their hands on the original, they'll be more likely to opt for a print instead.
 
 
Do limited prints
 
Prints themselves aren't a bad thing, but they need to be limited. Make sure that your collector can buy with confidence that their print will continue to gain value as a one-of-a-kind item.
 
Offer hand embellishment
 
Hand embellishment is a great way to make your prints more valuable while also giving you an opportunity to provide a personal touch and relationship with your collectors. It adds something special to your art that the collectors won't find anywhere else. You can do this with acrylics, oils, pastels, or even just a pen.
 
Make your print a higher price point
 
If your print is much cheaper than your original, it will devalue it. Make sure that when you're deciding how many prints to produce, the price for each is high enough that it's not competing with your original's value.
